PAT Testing

What is Portable Appliance Testing ?

Portable appliance testing or PAT testing as it has become known is regarded as the best way of ensuring that  your company or business meets the several electrical regulations that are in place to protect your employees, your customers, visitors and tenants from electrical harm.

The process of PAT testing involves the formal inspection and testing of electrical appliances using electrical equipment by competent staff to ensure that all portable appliances are safe to use.

This is all carried out in line with I.E.E. specifications and guidelines .

More insurance companies now insist that their clients provide a portable appliance test certificate as part of the insurance policy to ensure that electrical equipment complies with regulations.
